by Jon Theophilus on October 14, 2006, 08:00:00 AMGentlemen,
As leaders of the local RC clubs I wanted to invite you and your clubs to a very exciting event that the Mid America Miniature Helicopter Association is hosting. On October 14th we will be inviting anyone from the area to come by our flying field at Minor Park to learn more about Helicopters and fly if they have one. This event is designed for anyone who is interested in Radio Controlled Helicopters including the public or current pilots who would like to improve the heli that they already have. We will be offering a free lunch to all which includes hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda.
Local experts from our club will be there all day providing help in set up and flying. We will also have buddy box's and flight simulators available along with flight instruction. We plan to start the event at 10:00am and go until dark. We will also have some noon time demos from various pilots including some scale flying and advanced flying. There are many heli pilots in the KC area that never have the chance to mingle with other pilots so we are going to try this event every year.
This event is for all skill levels and is designed to promote our club and the exciting world of RC heli's. We will have a flyer up on our web site in the next few days with more details. The event is free to anyone. We will also be inviting the local hobby stores to attend. Our web site is www.kcheli.net. you can contact me at 816-853-8667.
Please pass along this information to your membership and as soon as the flyer is available I will email this to you for your review.
Thanks for your support,
Nick DeGennaro
